J. Houston
Born and raised in Houston, Tx Jeremy Houston aka
J. “Mr.Untouchable”Houston got his start in the church. Inspired by such artists as Tank, Usher, Musiq, Michael Jackson etc, he decided at age 13 that he wanted to be an R&B star. In 2006 (aged 19) he moved to Hartford CT with his mother and sister and started working at a car dealership while doing his music on the side. In 2007 through a mutual friend J. Houston met celebrated record producer Troy “choc” Oliver. Troy quickly noticed the then 21yr old J's talent and potential and remained in contact with the young talent but the two would not work together in the studio until August 2010.
In the interim "Mr.Untouchable" left music all together and married a young woman in 2008 whom he accredits the start of his career due to the turbulent relationship and subsequent divorce. By 2009 the marriage was over and seeking an outlet to express the past year, he returns to music and collaborates with an old friend and at the time newly signed producer to Universal Records Brandon Alexander.
In 2010 J. Houston releases his first single titled “Not Here”.
At age 24 J. Houston contacts Troy looking to continue and expand his music career. Impressed by the vocal control, quality, and unique tone J. Houston possessed he quickly brought him to New Jersey and introduced him to friend and business partner DJ Clue. A star in the making J. Houston returned to CT to work exclusively with Troy. In August 2011 J.Houston relocates to Manhattan where he currently resides.
